Getting there
From Malaga airport, follow signs for Malaga. After 3-4 km turn off onto the A7 signposted for Antequerra.
After another 5km you pass through a short tunnel and a further 3 km or so brings you to the turn off for the A45 signposted to Antequerra and Granada.
Follow the A45 for approximately 18 km and turn off at the exit signposted "Colmenar"(Jct 148). After some 100 metres turn right and after a further half km or so turn right on the A356 towards Velez Malaga.
Another 8 km brings you to the turn off for Colmenar. Follow this road into Colmenar, passing the "Los Arrierros" hotel on the left, bringing you to a tee junction. Turn left and after 50 metres or so turn right and follow the road down into the centre of Colmenar. In the centre, at the bottom of the hill there is a cross roads with a triangular arrangement to the right and a ONCE kiosk on the left. Turn right at the cross roads and head towards Solano.
Rise up the hill out of Colmenar bearing left at the fork and continue up, leaving Colmenar, as you reach level ground, with the church on your left. Follow the tarmac road to the right for 7 km to Solano. Just before Solano the road develops into a triangular junction. Keep to the right. Drive through Solano and Casa Mariana is on the left opposite a track that leaves the road on the right.
